<p align="center" class="lh">Jeffrey Canter recognized the majesty of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse while vacationing on North Carolina's Outer Banks. He was 11 months old. By age 5, his interest in lighthouses became an obsession. He drew them constantly, read about their history and construction and took field trips with his parents to lighthouses in North America. By his 7th birthday, Jeffrey had seen 123 lighthouses. By his 8th birthday, Jeffrey had seen 282 lighthouses. This site chronicles his adventures. </p>
