Hereford Inlet is one of the better interpretive locations to visit a lighthouse. Peter Harp was our tour guide, outfitted in his keeper’s uniform, he showed us Fresnel lenses, various rooms and described their functions. This unassuming lighthouse has an authentic feel and includes a nice gift shop. Like Cape May, Hereford Inlet was revisited on June 22 and October 20 of 2002.
