While Thomas Point Light is probably the most well-known structure on the Chesapeake Bay, this icon of Maryland culture is surprisingly difficult to view from land.
On our first visit, we arrived near Thomas Point and squinted to see the screwpile lighthouse over a mile out in the Chesapeake.
