A "screwpile" lighthouse, which is supported by huge screws that were drilled into the rock below water line. Perhaps the best interpretive location to visit a lighthouse in Maryland, Drum Point Light was relocated from the REAL Drum Point a couple of miles away and grounded in the fishing village of Solomons.
