Light on the West shore near Conimicut Pt., RI - August 21, 2001

If anyone can help us identify what we saw here, please email us!

The RIPTA boat. The Rhode Island Public Transportation Association (RIPTA) has ferry boats that go between Providence and Newport on a schedule. This is a convenient way to see many lights along the Providence River…too many to count almost…and is how we saw Lighthouses 64-69. It is also a good way to get a look at the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse and its beautiful rock outcrop, which is nearly impossible to see from the mainland.
