Cape Cod Highland Light, Truro, MA - August 24, 2001

A great location to learn about lighthouses and history; a fine museum, gift shop, and access to the lantern room. This light was moved in the 1990s by the same company that moved the Nauset Beach Light, and for the same reason, the eroding cliffs were threatening the existence of the structure. It is estimated that within 200 years the cliffs will erode back again to the current site and yet another move may be required.
